Connie Luo - NP (MN), CDE (GradCertDiabEd), RN (BN)

Connie has worked as a Diabetes Nurse Practitioner and a Credentialled Diabetes Educator at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPA) Diabetes Centre for over 20 years. Currently she is the clinical lead for the large team of diabetes educators at the Centre.

Her clinical interests are in Type 1 diabetes and Type 2 diabetes, particularly with the use of new technologies such as continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) and insulin pump therapy. She is committed to helping patients to decrease their diabetes management burden, improve their quality of life and clinical outcomes. She is a certified pump trainer and can initiate all forms of insulin therapy, CGM and advanced hybrid closed loop systems. She has initiated insulin therapy and CGM in 100’s patients with type 1 and type 2 diabetes and seen excellent results.

 

She completed a Master of Nursing (Nurse Practitioner) at the University of Sydney in 2019. She has presented her work at multiple National Scientific meetings.
